How to Homeschool in South Carolina
In South Carolina, there are three ways to comply with the laws regulation home education in the state:
Option 1: Homeschool under the state statute
This option involves obtaining approval from the district board of trustees, teaching the required subjects and required time, maintaining records, submitting a progress report, and testing annually.
Option 2: Homeschool with the South Carolina Association of Independent Home Schools (SCAIHS)
To utilize this option, you would comply with the requirements of SCAIHS.
