One of the best tricks I’ve found is to incorporate listening time into your day. This could be a Catholic saint podcast in the car as you drive to soccer practice, a saint audiobook turned on during lunchtime, or some family listening time before bed. 

One trick that has worked well for our family with audiobooks is to use both the recording and the actual book. I’ll play the audiobook in the car, while my kids share a book to read along. This increases reading comprehension, improves vocabulary, and captures the spelling of words that you would miss by just listening.
