Advent Book List

Advent books kids reading canva

Advent is a time of preparation for Christmas and the coming of the Christ Child. That can make things feel hectic for those weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas. With a good Advent book list in hand, you have a way to better prepare your children for the coming feast of Christmas.

One of the best ways to slow things down is to keep up a habit of story reading during Advent. There are lots of books that you can share with your children, reading aloud or having a stack of books for them to read during the quiet times that you carve out during the Advent season.

There are so many children’s books about Christmas, but it is lovely to curate a collection of books for your children that focus on the Advent season.

Reading good literature will help your children wait patiently for Christmas, but even more than that, it helps them learn that waiting is good. It is good for our minds and souls and prepares us for our meeting with Christ.
